Find out how ready your website is to be found, understood and cited by ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity. Enter your domain and get an AI Visibility Score out of 100 plus the fixes that matter, in about 25 seconds. Free, no signup.
It runs your domain against the signals AI engines use when they decide which brands to name. You get an AI Visibility Score, a breakdown of where you are weak, and a prioritized list of fixes. It is a diagnostic, not a rank tracker: it tells you why AI engines are leaving you out before you spend money trying to change it.
Enter your domain in the checker above. No account and no credit card. The checker crawls your homepage, reads six signal groups (detailed in the next section) and, about 25 seconds later, returns your AI Visibility Score with a ranked list of fixes. Work the list from the top, then re-check once the fixes are live.
1:47 walkthrough: a real domain checked live, then the score, the gaps and the fix plan.
The score is a weighted readiness estimate from 0 to 100. It is derived from your own site, not from live prompts to each model, so it is repeatable and you can act on it. A low score almost never means your product is weak. It usually means the web does not describe you clearly enough for a model to repeat it with confidence.
Six signal groups, each scored on its own and weighted into your overall AI Visibility Score. The weight tells you where a fix moves the score most.
Reads your robots.txt for GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended and flags every engine you block.
Looks for Organization, WebSite and page-level JSON-LD that tells engines who you are and what each page is.
Title, meta description and heading hierarchy, and whether the page breaks into clean, quotable answers.
Whether the page states your brand, product and category clearly enough for a model to repeat it with confidence.
Whether you publish a machine-readable summary of your site and its key pages for language models.
Response, HTTPS, canonical and indexability basics. The same layer feeds Google AI Overviews and AI Mode.
On top of the six groups you get a readiness estimate for ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, a fix plan ordered by priority (unlocked with a short contact form), and a permanent link to your report that you can share with your team.
In the Arobis AI Shortlist Study 2026, some vendors were recommended in 100% of buying-intent prompt runs while a functional competitor in the same category appeared in just 6%. The difference was not product quality. It was how clearly the web described each brand.
See the full State of AI Search Visibility dataA score of 70 or higher is good: AI engines can crawl, parse and confidently describe your site. Most first-time checks land between 40 and 69, which means the basics are there but a few high-weight signals are missing. Here is how the checker labels each range and what to do first.
At least one engine is probably blocked in robots.txt, or the site has almost no structured data. Fix crawler access first, it carries 25% of the score.
Crawlable and readable, but missing Organization schema, a meta description or an llms.txt file. Two or three fixes usually move you into Strong.
Engines can understand and cite you. Remaining gains come from deeper content and a clearer brand entity across your About page and third-party mentions.
Every signal group is in place. Your job now is to keep it there and earn the external mentions AI engines use to rank one brand above another.
Every check produces a public report page. Here is how six well-known sites score today, so you can calibrate your own result before you run it.
A low score for a famous brand is not a verdict on the business. It means the site itself gives AI engines little to read: blocked crawlers, thin structured data or no llms.txt. Big brands survive on third-party mentions. Smaller sites cannot, which is why the fixes matter more for you.
ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, each scored separately. Every engine relies on its own crawler and weighs the underlying signals a little differently, so one site can score differently across the four. Classic search visibility is part of the picture too, because Google indexation underpins AI Overviews and AI Mode, so the checker doubles as a search engine visibility checker for the layer that feeds AI answers.

Want the outcome view as well as the readiness view? Our free ChatGPT visibility checker asks ChatGPT five buyer prompts for your category and shows whether you are named, in what position, and which competitors it recommends instead. Run both: this page tells you what blocks engines from reading you, that one tells you whether buyers hear your name.
The order matters. Each step unlocks the next, and the first two carry 45% of the score.
Allow GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended in robots.txt. A blanket disallow, or a firewall rule that challenges bots, removes you from the answers before anything else is judged.
Organization schema on the homepage, an About page that says what you are in one sentence, and the same name, category and description on LinkedIn, G2 and Crunchbase. Engines trust what repeats.
One question per heading, the answer in the first two sentences, and FAQ blocks with FAQPage schema. Models quote passages, not pages.
A short, machine-readable summary of your site and its key pages. Our free llms.txt generator builds a spec-compliant file in about two minutes.
Comparison posts, review platforms, industry lists and community threads are the sources AI answers cite. This is the step that separates a Strong score from actually being recommended, and it is what our AI visibility program for SaaS is built around.
Track AI referrals in GA4 with our guide to tracking AI traffic to your website, and re-run the checker after every fix so the score reflects the change the same day.
You have a rank tracker and a content calendar, and no idea why ChatGPT names two competitors and not you. Start here, then bring the score to your next planning call.
Check a prospect's domain before the call, or a client's after a site change, and line them up against the competitors they care about.
No budget for enterprise tracking. The checker tells you the three or four fixes that matter, most of which you can ship yourself in a week.
An AI visibility check measures how ready your website is to be found, understood and cited by AI engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity. It reads the signals those engines rely on, from crawler access to structured data and content depth, and turns them into a score. It is about your presence inside AI answers, not your position on a classic search results page.
Yes. The checker is free and starts without a signup. You enter your domain and get your AI Visibility Score, strengths and gaps in about 25 seconds. The detailed, prioritized fix plan is unlocked with a quick contact form.
Four engines: ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude and Perplexity. Each gets its own readiness estimate because each uses a different crawler and weighs the signals differently.
The checker crawls your homepage and scores six signal groups, then combines them into a weighted 0 to 100 score: AI crawler access (25%), structured data (20%), semantic structure (20%), content and entity signals (15%), llms.txt (10%) and technical health (10%). The estimate comes from your site's own signals, not from live queries to each model.
Yes, for the layer that feeds AI answers. Google indexation underpins AI Overviews and AI Mode, and the crawlability, structured data and content signals the checker reads are the same ones classic search relies on.
Work the six steps above in order: unblock the crawlers, describe your entity consistently, structure pages as answers, publish llms.txt, earn mentions where engines read, then measure. Your report's fix plan tells you which of them apply to your site.
llms.txt is a plain-text file that tells AI crawlers what your site is about and which pages matter most. Think robots.txt, but written for language models. The checker flags whether you have one.
Monthly, or after any significant site change. AI models refresh continuously and competitors actively work on their own visibility, so a score from three months ago is stale.
Semrush and Ahrefs count how often your brand appears in AI answers, using prompt databases they run against ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI, with Ahrefs adding Perplexity and Copilot. They are tracking tools and good ones. This checker answers the question before that one: why your site is or is not citable, scored per signal, free and without signup. Run this first, fix what it finds, then track.
70 or higher. The checker labels 0 to 39 as Needs work, 40 to 69 as Getting there, 70 to 89 as Strong and 90 to 100 as Excellent. Most sites score between 40 and 69 on their first check, and two or three fixes are usually enough to reach Strong.
No. It reads the deterministic signals on your own site that every engine relies on, so the result is repeatable and does not change with how a prompt is phrased. Seeing what buyers are actually told, and which competitors get named instead of you, is what the full AI Visibility Audit is for.
This checker runs in your browser with nothing to install: enter a domain and read the report. For a one-click check of whichever brand you are looking at while browsing, use Arobis Lens, the free Chrome extension mentioned above. It covers the mention side of visibility, which this page's checker leaves to the audit.
A mention is your brand being named inside an AI answer. A citation is the answer pointing to one of your pages as a source. Citations need crawlable, well-structured pages, which is what this checker scores. Mentions also depend on how the rest of the web describes you, which is why third-party sources are step five of the improvement list above.
At minimum GPTBot (OpenAI), ClaudeBot (Anthropic), PerplexityBot and Google-Extended (Gemini). Google AI Overviews and AI Mode use the regular Googlebot, so normal indexing covers them. The checker reads your robots.txt and flags each of the four if it is blocked. Blocking them does not stop AI engines from discussing you; it only removes your own pages from the sources they can cite.
Four causes cover most cases: an AI crawler is blocked, the site never states plainly what the company is and does, pages are not structured into quotable answers, or almost no third-party sources mention you. The score breakdown shows which of the first three applies to you. The fourth only shows up in a prompt-based audit.
Yes. Any public domain works, and each check produces a report page you can revisit. Comparing your score with two or three competitors tells you whether you are behind on readiness or only on mentions. Keep in mind the score is about their site, not about what buyers are told; that comparison is what the audit is for.
Asking a model directly is a useful spot check, but the answer changes with wording, session, model version and the day, so it is hard to act on. If you do it, use a fresh session, several phrasings of a real buyer question, and note who gets named alongside you. Then run the checker to see which of your site's signals explain the result.
The checker reflects on-page fixes as soon as they are live, so re-run it the same day. Engines that fetch pages at answer time, such as Perplexity, ChatGPT search and Gemini through Google's index, usually reflect changes within days to a few weeks after the next crawl. Knowledge baked into a model's training changes only with new model versions, and new third-party mentions take longer still.
