Check My VisibilityThe composite leaderboard above reflects overall visibility. The tables below are stricter: they show how often each vendor was actually recommended when we ran standardized buying-intent prompts through ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Copilot — six prompts per category, each run three times (18 prompt-runs per category). A brand recommended in every run scores 100%; a brand recommended once scores about 6%. Full prompt sets and scoring are in the Arobis AI Shortlist Study.

Two patterns repeat in every category we measured. First, AI engines converge on a locked-in shortlist: the leaders are not merely ahead, they are recommended in effectively every run. Second, brand awareness does not buy a seat on that shortlist. Monday.com is a public company with enormous ad spend and scored 67%, behind bootstrapped Basecamp at 100%. Notion — one of the best-known products of the decade — landed at 39%, and ClickUp at just 11%. In a separate five-engine measurement of recommendation share, the category leader appeared in roughly two out of every three project-management answers while Notion appeared in about one in six; the full breakdown is in our project management recommendation-share study.
Measurement window: 2026 study runs across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Copilot. Frequencies are per standardized prompt set, not market share. Vendors are scored identically regardless of any commercial relationship; Arobis AI has none with the brands listed.
The brands AI engines name most often in each category. Every score reflects citation frequency and recommendation share across the five tracked engines.
Enter your domain to see exactly how AI search engines see you.
Each engine has its own citation personality: ChatGPT leans encyclopedic (Wikipedia is its single most-cited source), Perplexity is community-driven (Reddit dominates), and Google AI Overviews pulls heavily from forums like Reddit and Quora. The same brand can be a star on one engine and invisible on another — here's how leading SaaS brands score across each platform.

Check My VisibilityAggregated from public 2025 citation studies across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews, these are the domains AI engines reference most when generating answers. For software queries specifically, review platforms dominate — G2 and Capterra alone account for more than half of all review-site citations. Earning a presence on these sources is how brands build AI trust.

AI visibility shifts fast. The moves below reflect changes observed across our tracked prompt sets through mid-2026 — see the methodology section for how movement is measured.
Three shifts define AI search in 2026: answers are replacing clicks, AI referral traffic is compounding, and recommendation share has decoupled from brand awareness. Each trend below is drawn from the published research compiled in our 100 AI search statistics report and from Arobis AI recommendation studies.
58.5%
of Google searches now end without a click — buyers get their answer on the results page or inside an AI answer.
1.13B+
referral visits generated by AI platforms in recent industry benchmarks, growing 357% year-over-year.
23x
higher conversion likelihood reported for AI search visitors versus traditional channels.
With 58.5% of Google searches ending without a click and up to 83% of AI-generated answer queries resolved without the user ever visiting a website, the discovery moment has moved inside the answer itself. For B2B SaaS, that means the shortlist is being written before your site gets a visit: if the engines do not name you, the zero-click buyer never learns you exist. This is why visibility inside answers — not just rankings — has become the metric that predicts pipeline.
AI platforms drove more than 1.13 billion referral visits in recent benchmarks, up 357% year-over-year, and 44% of consumers now use AI search as a primary source of information. The volume is still a fraction of Google's, but two properties make it disproportionately valuable: the visitor arrives pre-qualified by a recommendation, and reported conversion likelihood runs as high as 23x traditional search traffic. Early movers are compounding this advantage while most brands still treat AI answers as a curiosity.
The clearest 2026 finding across our own prompt-run studies: how famous a brand is no longer predicts how often AI recommends it. Monday.com, a public company with heavy ad spend, was recommended in 67% of project-management runs — behind bootstrapped Basecamp at 100%. Notion appeared in just 39% of runs despite being one of the most-loved products of the decade. Even at the top, gaps open: our HubSpot vs Salesforce AI visibility study found the two CRM giants split by consistent, repeatable differences in how engines describe and recommend them. Recommendation authority is earned in the sources engines read — review corroboration, category-anchored descriptions, structured data — which is exactly why it can be engineered.
Every figure on this page is dated and traceable to a published Arobis AI study or a compiled public benchmark. Nothing is estimated from memory, and vendors are scored identically whether or not we have any relationship with them (we have none with the brands listed).
How recommendation frequency is measured
For each category we define six standardized buying-intent prompts — the questions real buyers ask, like “best CRM for a small B2B SaaS team” — and run each prompt three times per engine across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Copilot (18 prompt-runs per category). A vendor recommended in every run scores 100%; a vendor recommended once scores about 6%.
Recommendation frequency is deliberately stricter than visibility: a brand can be mentioned in passing yet never actually recommended. The composite leaderboard above blends citation, mention and recommendation signals; the frequency tables isolate the recommendation itself.
Data sources & changelog
Category tables draw on the Arobis AI Shortlist Study and the project-management recommendation-share study linked above. Review-signal analysis (e.g. why an 89% would-recommend rate on 2,500+ G2 reviews makes BambooHR a fixture in AI answers) is documented in our HR software study. Market-level statistics are compiled, with original sources, in the 100 AI search statistics report linked in the trends section.
